Refelection-9th Leadership Conference (LC) Medan

Thx God for giving me a special chance attending 9th Leadership Conference (LC) of Van Deventer Mass Stichting, despite hard things I experienced during the conference (Stealing the time for praying). Yet, I must confess that this event has been my long waiting for such a long time (hehehe). Yeah, having a chance to attend LC has been an impressive and long-lasting experience for me. It furthered my understanding about what leadership actually is and helped me realize my potential skills (Insya Allah).

During the conference, I experienced more real information about leadership from the speakers, and was amazed by students’ characters and dreams for the future. From interacting with speakers I get a lot of things. For example, Missis Jeny Rahmawati (from Padjajaran University) pointed out that each of us is a leader, and has potential to lead. She made me aware the important of delegation function (Developing others and deciding others to become our new generation that will change our position as a leader) because I’m one who fond of work by myself (hehehe). Missis FP Dwiyani Fegda (from Indonesian University), who underlined that being a leader must know well whose their board member is. She (a catholic) gave real application for us, for letting moslem to have a pray when the time came during the conference. Perhaps it’s seems a little thing, but actually it was difficult doing thing as she did. It is needed awareness, tolerance, respect, etc. She also helped me a lot to understand who am I and what potential I posses. Mr Imanuel K. Ginting, STh (an owner of Yayasan Ate Keleng) gave me far information about sustainable development and sustainable organizations. He inspired me that we must have big dreams wherever we are, write it out and make it come true! As Yayasan Ate Keleng does. Different characters and perspectives from the speakers gave me a rich understanding of their hard work, and dreams as well as gave me experience how to acts wisely.
Connecting with new friends gave me a different feeling and made my experience more enjoyable. I gained more confidence in interacting with new people from and learned how to keep the relationship going. I also found that attending some seminars and discussions from leadership conference, and actively participating in activities were very helpful to practice my social skills.
Inspite of the busy schedule during the conference, I enjoyed myself. Thank you, VDMS, for this chance and thank you, Unnes, for a well organized. This experience is more than enough to help me to be a leader, and to pursue my dream, Last but not least, I want to thank all of my friends who always support and pray for me during the conference (Mbak Ratmi, Habi Chan, Heni Kun, Syu, Lindut, A’am Mariam, Say, Tika San, Gita Riong, Eka Noura, Miss Heni Nur, Rosidah, SeiByong, Mbk IKA, Putik Pribadi, Dudu, sanni Sahara, Saudah, Khairun P.mat, Kustomo Al Zilazafi, Ardian Berkarya, Masrur Ridho masrur, Zen (Jay Chou masnya Cap Jay-hehehehe) temen2 UKMP DE EL EL yang tidak bisa a sebutkan atu per atu) SALAM SUKSES!!!!
